3 swaps i made after my daughter started crawling
Swapped conventional cleaning products with more natural ones
When my first daughter started crawling, I became much more aware of what I was using to clean our home. I didn’t love the strong, artificial smell of conventional cleaning products, so I started looking into what’s actually in them.
That’s when I switched to cleaner alternatives made with simpler ingredients and essential oils — and I’ve been using them ever since.
I still use the same brand almost every day, 7 years later — I’ll share more about it soon.
Swapped conventional laundry wash with more natural one
It is as important what you put on your skin as it is what you eat. That’s why I think Laundry wash is a must swap. Conventional landry products contain fragrances, NPEs, Optical brighteners, Dioxane, SLSs and Preservatives which I try to avoid, as they are skin irritants, endocrine disruptors, cancerogens, can trigger asthma and allergies. It is especially important for children, this is why I found a natural Laundry wash that works great for me from the same brand as the cleaning products I use.
Stopped using softeners
Softeners often contain ingredients that lasts on clothes which makes you exposed with hours and days to them. These are often chemicals that interfere with your hormones, disrupt your skin’s natural balance, and over time may trigger irritation or allergic reactions—especially with regular use.
